Can he fix it?

One of the mums who comes to Highgrove Toddlers is moving to the States this week and so held a toy sale over the weekend to get rid of all they can't take with them. Mummy's top acquisition was a Bob the builder hard hat closely followed by a work bench and accompanying toolbox. Isaac's been getting into the swing of it by taking off his shirt and hitting himself on the head.

Isaac's love of Fireman Sam is now being shared around and Bob the Builder and Postman Pat are now giving him a serious run for his money. We play games that involve the first two with Bob fixing a roof, getting stuck and needing Fireman Sam to come to the rescue (all we need now is for Postman Pat to appear and deliver their post). Isaac's getting the hang of ringing for help - we often hear him pressing the buttons of his toy phone and saying 'nigh, nigh, nigh, Ma ma ma, baa' ('Nine, Nine, Nine, Fireman Sam, Bye'). Fortunately he hasn't done this with a real phone yet although we're monitoring the situation closely...

We had another exciting weekend with yet more experimentation with different modes of travel. This time, we took a train from where we live into the centre of town, went to play in the Early Learning Centre and Woolworths and then took a bus home.
