Ed had a training course in Preston on Thursday and Friday and so we took the opportunity to combine it with a weekend in Manchester with grandma, granddad and great grandma. Learning about International Financial Reporting Standards is nowhere near as exciting as playing in the park, as the top photo shows. It's nice to have a weekend away as it's been a really busy first week back after holiday. Deb and I are hoping for a rare trip to the cinema this evening - I'm not really big on period dramas but Deb would like to see Pride and Prejudice - maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Am watching the A1 GP qualifying at the moment. Looks like it'll be a good format and a refreshing change from F1 which is being managed very poorly and is gradually losing any sense of sport about it.
