Scandal: Accountant grows beard...

One of the great things about 8 weeks off work is the chance to experiment with facial hair (although laziness and a strong dislike for shaving have also been key contributory factors).

Under instruction from my other two-thirds on grounds that it is clearly alarming Isaac (see above photo), the aforementioned beard will be shaved off tomorrow (ouch!).

Toby is doing very well and weighed in at 9lb1 on Tuesday. We're pleased that his appetite is translating to healthy growth:


It's been a packed week with lots of good stuff going on..

It was great to go out to a Woodies worship leaders meeting on Monday night and caught up with people I definitely do not get to see often enough. Always great to hang out with like-minded and like-hearted people.

On Wednesday morning, Isaac and I went for our weekly swim and then he had a friend to play in the afternoon. Wednesday also saw the start of the next Highgrove Alpha course. Whilst we're not involved in the evenings themselves, Isaac and I will be involved in setting up and testing that the DVD player works by watching Fireman Sam on the big screen beforehand.

This morning was Highgrove Toddlers which went well - it's a great atmosphere and the mums, grandmas and child minders are really friendly. We went up to the Mall this evening for tea - nice to get out all together and Isaac had his bedtime stories sat on the floor in WHSmith while Toby had his supper.
