2 weeks on...

The last two weeks seem to have flown by. Toby is growing fast and has an appetite that seems to match Isaac and Daddy combined! He's still pretty much of the opinion that days are for sleeping and nights are for eating - but we're starting to convince him otherwise...

Isaac has lost none of his affection for Toby and still has a regular smooch every hour or so. He was pleased to share his bath with Toby this evening and Toby seemed to enjoy it too (and will learn how to splash Isaac back fairly quickly, I expect).

Isaac has also been enjoying having Daddy around and we're starting to get into a routine of the things we'll be doing together over the next few weeks. We've been swimming a couple of times and we've had some bike rides (we've got a new child seat for Isaac for the back of Deborah's bike along with a brand new blue helmet with motor cars on).

We went to Noah's Ark Farm this morning and saw lots of animals, had a go on a tractor, had an ice lolly (yes, in October) and Isaac told me the names of some of the animals (including some I just couldn't place...).

It was Daddy's birthday on Tuesday which was a great excuse for Isaac to open yet more presents, blow out candles and eat chocolate cake.

It's been so amazing to have had all our meals cooked for us for the last ten days. A number of people from church have been part of a meal rota to ensure that cooking is one less thing for us to worry about at the moment. It's been such a blessing! The food has been fantastic (like eating in a restaurant every night - but with a toddler and a newborn in tow) and there's been plenty of it! Thanks so much to all who blessed us in this way - it has made a huge difference to us! Now Deborah and Isaac are bracing themselves for Daddy's culinary skills.
