In the beginning...
I thought it may be good to start a little space to share our lives and news... Keeping the old site up to date was not really happening so time to try something a little easier. We'll see what happens...
A lot has changed since the last post on the old site. There was no Christmas newsletter from us at Christmas time so this post is our feeble effort to update...
Isaac made it to his first birthday and soon after realised that walking is a lot more fun than crawling. Recently, this has turned into running which he is gradually getting much safer at! He's now 18 months old and starting to talk. Hot words at the moment are 'car' (car), 'wacker' (tractor), 'wamma' (grandma), 'bo' .. (quietly - bump), 'bo' (loudly - boo), 'Mama' (Mummy), 'Mama' (Daddy).
Ed's still working as an accountant for KPMG and recently qualified (no more exams - hooray!). Deb is working one day a week for Mediatrack and the rest of the time looking after Isaac. She's enjoying the opportunity to spend a day having adult conversation and being 'normal' and Isaac loves going to Ed's mum's house for the day.
Our involvement in and excitement for Highgrove Church is growing and it's been an exciting time to be part of. Deb helps lead the team that runs a parents and toddlers group at church and recently organised a Chinese banquet for all the mums while all the dads stayed at home and babysat. We lead a homegroup and are both involved with organising and leading the Sunday morning services.
Life is particularly full at the moment and we're looking forward to a holiday to the south of France in early September. We're going with Ed's sister and husband and Isaac's cousin. He's got his bucket and spade ready!
Anyway... you've probably stopped reading by now! I'll aim for subsequent posts to be short and a little more day to day stuff and - let's face it - it'll be boring without some photos...
